Last week, Sybiz hosted its biennial international conference, where Business Partners and Sybiz staff have a chance to meet and mingle. The event, held at the Pullman Adelaide on 20-22 February, offered a chance for vital face-to-face interaction to share ideas and insights on the development and future of Sybiz solutions.
The theme for this year’s conference was Good as Gold, reflecting the celebration of 50 years of software innovation. Sybiz CEO Grant Argy kicked things off with an overview of the company’s history, from humble beginnings writing programs for calculators to the comprehensive ERP and HRM software packages of today. Participants each received soccer jerseys with the number 50, emphasising once again that we’re all part of the same team working together to provide business solutions.
The conference featured hand-on presentation showcasing the latest abilities of the software, including a game of Battleships played entirely using the Vision Service mobile app. Business Partners worked together to solve a logistics problem using Lego kits, then put their heads together to develop and present new features to address real-world customer challenges. Sybiz used inbuilt SMS capabilities in Sybiz Vision to communicate to delegates throughout the conference.
The event was capped off with a formal dinner celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary. Guests decked out in all manner of golden attire were treated to performances by ventriloquist Lindi Jane and magician Scott Stunz. Special congratulations go to Dean Murdock, whose C-3PO costume handily won the Best Dressed competition.
Thank you to all the Business Partners who attended and made this year’s event a success!
