Keeping your technology updated is crucial to the health of your business. With the latest updates, you can be assured that you’re getting both the latest functionality and the latest protection for your vital systems. Sybiz always encourages user to be on the latest version of our software solutions, but this year you may need to pay special attention to another essential component: your computer’s operating system.
Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. This doesn’t mean that Windows 10 systems will stop working on that date, merely that Microsoft will no longer offer technical assistance or updates to the operating system, including critical security updates that protect your system from malicious intrusion. The longer you remain on an outdated operating system, the more risk you’re taking with your data.
The most current version of the operating system, Windows 11, contains specific minimum hardware requirements for security purposes, including support for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2 chip and support for Secure Boot. It might not be possible to install it on older computers that don’t meet the threshold. Consult with your IT professional or Authorised Business Partner for more information about hardware requirements.
Sybiz Vision and Sybiz Visipay versions 22 are compatible with Windows 11. Sybiz legacy (Classic) products, however, are not supported on Windows 11 and are approaching their own end of life as of 31 December 2025. Anyone who has not yet upgraded to the new Sybiz Vision should speak to Sybiz or their Authorised Business Partner at their earliest convenience.
Take the time now to review your hardware and software needs, and start taking the steps to future-proof your business for the years to come.
