The end of Exchange Web Services (EWS) on 1 October 2026 has prompted Sybiz customers utilising Office 365 for email integration to migrate to the more modern Microsoft Graph, which acts as a gateway to data and intelligence to Microsoft cloud services such as Microsoft 365. Part of the email modernisation effort on Microsoft's part includes the introduction of a new version of Outlook, which includes a revamped and simplified design and Microsoft Copilot-assisted capabilities.
Currently, new Outlook for Windows is in the opt-in stage. New Outlook is off by default, and users can toggle to try the new experience from the top right corner of the Outlook window. However, if wanting to use "Outlook" type emailing in Sybiz Vision or Visipay, we advise that you cannot remove your version of Outlook Classic, as this will cause emailing to cease from Sybiz products.
For users committed to the Microsoft environment, Sybiz recommends the use of Microsoft 365 email integration, utilising the modern Microsoft Graph infrastructure. SMTP is also an acceptable connection method, and further integrations are planned in the release of Sybiz 27, scheduled for later this year.
