The ATO has announced that the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House will stop registering new users on 1 October 2025. The move is part of a wind down of the service, which will cease operation entirely on 1 July 2026. From 1 October 2025, only existing users will be able to access the service, and the ATO is strongly encouraging these users to take steps now to transition to alternative options.

The SBSCH is a free online service provided by the Australian Government available to businesses with either 19 or fewer employees or an annual aggregated turnover of less than $10 million. Around 250,000 small businesses in Australia take advantage of the service.

Are you looking for an alternative to the SBSCH? Sybiz Visipay users can take advantage of SybizSuper, Sybiz’s SuperStream-compliant service which allows users to send employee’s superannuation data through a secure online portal. By partnering with SuperChoice, Sybiz Visipay users have the ability to process a single payment while SuperChoice handles the distribution of funds for each employee.
